In July 2008 Medicare's competitive bidding program was suspended for a period of 18 months pending review. 

HOWEVER, CMS' mandate from earlier this year that ALL DME providers must be accredited by September 2009 to qualify for reimbursement still stands!  Are you ready?  If you aren’t in one of the MSAs already classified you will be next year.  If you aren’t already accredited you need to start now! 

Accreditation can be a lengthy process and this new CMS requirement is going to create a backlog for accrediting bodies very quickly.  Don’t be part of that backlog – start preparing now!
